Pooquette grew up in a small German town near the french border and learned how to play Gypsy Jazz from renowned jazz violinist Zipflo Reinhardt.

After moving to New York City in 2006, she met guitar master Stephane Wrembel, with whom she performed for several years, and who introduced her to the New York Gypsy Jazz scene. Since then she has shared the stage with Titi Bamberger, the Avalon Jazz Band, Talking Strings, Mary Alouette, Alex Simon and the Joel Beaver trio, and has performed at the Dances of Vice, Joe's Pub, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Jalopy theatre, Shapeshifter Lab and numerous french bistros and bars in New York City.
